The Port of Kalama Interpretive Center is positioned off the banks of the Columbia River and is a captivating take on a traditional waterfront warehouse. The building provides an operations center for the port and a home for the region’s rich history. AEP Span worked collaboratively with the Port of Kalama to create a distinct design ideal for their waterfront interpretive center. This re-imagined design features AEP Span’s Select Seam Wide Batten and Span-LokTM hp metal roofing and siding panels.

The vertical application of the Select Seam provides a clean wide pan appearance giving this building a classic architectural effect, while the standing seam Span-Lok hp provides clean lines for aesthetic appeal. This building is a balance of function, beauty, durability and strength. Coated in AEP Span’s Premium colors Burnt Rust and Weathered Zinc the panels are striking and timeless. The two standing seam panel styles complement the other featured textures including stone and exposed metal, to create a harmonious design.
